Pine Creek Ski Resort is located in southwestern Wyoming, near Cokeville. Our webcam is installed at the top of the chairlift.
There is no power or network available at the site. The webcams are powered by small solar installations. Images and other data are transmitted off the site over a cellular network.
Each camera is a Raspberry Pi mini computer with a camera module housed in a weatherproof enclosure. The enclosures are heated to prevent snow and ice from obscuring the view.
The webcams are administered remotely via VPN and SSH. Power to the most essential components are also remotely managed.
This timelapse video is normally updated every hour. The pictures were taken at five or ten minute intervals. The camera does not take pictures at night.
